Wendy Kim | Following the Pull & Finding Your Voice
The Story You’re Telling Yourself May Not Be True
A Conversation with Wendy Kim
Some conversations stay with you long after the microphones are turned off.
My conversation with Wendy Kim was one of those.
Together, we explored identity, intuition, and the quiet inner voice that often knows the way forward long before our minds catch up. Wendy calls it “the pull.” That gentle nudge toward becoming who we were always meant to be.
If you’ve ever felt like you’ve spent more time fitting in than truly being yourself…
this conversation is for you.

Together, Wendy and I explore:
- Why we often silence our own voice in order to belong.
- What it really means to trust your intuition.
- How limiting beliefs quietly shape our identity.
- The courage it takes to stop blending in.
- Why becoming who you were always meant to be begins by listening to yourself.
One Moment That Stayed With Me
During our conversation, Wendy shared something that continued to echo in my mind after we stopped recording.
Sometimes…the greatest obstacle isn’t a lack of ability. It’s the stories we’ve quietly accepted about who we are.
When we begin questioning those stories…everything begins to change.
About Wendy Kim
For years, Wendy Kim looked successful from the outside.
She built a remarkable corporate career, led the delivery of a multi-billion-dollar e-commerce platform, and earned the respect of some of the world’s most recognized organizations.
But beneath those accomplishments was a quieter story.
As a woman navigating spaces where she often felt she had to fit in, Wendy learned to silence parts of herself in order to belong. She accomplished everything she thought she was supposed to do while slowly losing connection with the voice that mattered most: her own.
Everything changed when she stopped trying to blend in and started following what she now calls “the pull”, that quiet inner knowing that gently guides us toward who we’re truly meant to become.
Today, Wendy is a keynote speaker, leadership coach, and international bestselling author of Beyond Blending In, helping leaders move beyond limiting beliefs, trust their intuition, and lead with authenticity, courage, and purpose.
Her work has inspired thousands of leaders across organizations including Amazon, Apple, ServiceNow, and the American Red Cross, reminding them that our greatest impact begins the moment we stop becoming who others expect us to be…and start becoming ourselves.
Wendy’s Message in One Sentence
“When we stop trying to fit in and begin following the quiet pull of who we truly are, we create the greatest impact, not only in our own lives, but in the lives of those we lead.”

Behind the Mic
Where the Conversation Continues
One of my favorite parts of hosting the Delay the Binge™ Podcast happens after we stop recording.
That’s when I often discover the lesson that stayed with me.
Every Wednesday, I share a short Behind the Mic reflection, one thought, one story, or one question that lingered long after the conversation ended.
This week’s reflection was inspired by my conversation with Wendy and a woman from my childhood named Mrs. Kelley…someone who saw something in me long before I could see it in myself.

A Note from Pam
Thank you for spending time here.
My hope is that every story, every conversation, and every reflection leaves you with one small insight you can carry into your own life.
Because meaningful change doesn’t usually happen all at once.
It happens…
one conversation…
one pause…
and one intentional choice at a time.
With gratitude,
Pam Dwyer
